Environmental Policy
Check our environmental policy below:
1. Purpose
As a technology company, our vision is permanently set on the future and on anticipating the needs of the communities in which we operate. At this time, one of humanity’s greatest challenges is achieving sustainable development—an idea that inspires this Policy.
Now more than ever, improving the world means making it more sustainable. Technology is a fundamental tool to transform the world: our commitment is to contribute to sustainable development through technology.
To achieve this, we are committed to developing technologies that put people at the center, respect their rights, and are environmentally responsible. At AMBIT BST, we firmly believe that the development of innovative technology with sustainability criteria creates long-term value for our partners, clients, employees, and more broadly, for all of society and the communities where we operate.
For this reason, we have a Quality and Environmental Management System (QEMS) based mainly on UNE EN ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 27001:2013, and UNE EN ISO 14001:2015, in which specific principles for each applicable standard are defined through policies, processes, and procedures.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all activities defined within the scope of Ambit BST as detailed in the Quality Policy, and together with it, forms the basis for setting our Quality and Environmental Objectives.
Likewise, this Policy sets out the principles to be followed by everyone in the organization, as well as its objectives.
This policy is communicated and accessible to all Ambit BST employees, as well as our clients and other interested parties as indicated in the Internal and External Communication Procedure.
3. Policy
3.1. Foundations of the Environmental Policy
1. Enhancing technology with impact on sustainable development.
- Promote innovation and investment in AMBIT BST's products and services that contribute to sustainable development, offering solutions that allow our clients to contribute to the well-being of people and society, better management of natural resources, or the fight against climate change.
- Integrate sustainability criteria from the initial design and development of our offerings.
- Measure the social and environmental impact of the company’s activities, as well as its contribution to societal development.
- Commit to climate change mitigation and decarbonization in the company’s operations and facilities, aligned with agreements established by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the European Union, and/or governments of countries where Ambit BST operates.
- Minimize the environmental impact of the company’s facilities and internal operations, as well as the solutions and services it offers clients.
- Incorporate circular economy principles by promoting rational use of resources and responsible management of waste and end-of-life products.
4. Continually improve our environmental performance and management system.
3.2. AMBIT BST’s Commitment to the Environment
AMBIT BST, a leading company in Information Technologies, offers Solutions and Services and has developed, year after year, a deep understanding of business and strong client relationships. The knowledge gained, combined with the most advanced technology, enables AMBIT BST to create a unique offering, promoting the development of proprietary solutions and services for each market segment.
Our environmental policy defines the commitment to carry out our activity within the parameters of sustainable development, maintaining control and management of environmental aspects—especially the most significant ones—in line with current legislation.
AMBIT BST, together with its human team, is committed to complying with and continuously improving its System to enhance environmental performance, in a framework of transparency.
Therefore, all members of AMBIT BST embrace these principles and are responsible for putting them into practice.
Management, which is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining this Environmental Policy, will designate the organization’s Quality area as the Environment Responsible, to be renamed Quality & Environment Compliance, and the TSHR area, under People & Culture, as a collaborator in the implementation of this Policy and related activities.
Management will also provide the resources and training necessary to ensure successful implementation of this Policy.
3.3. Identification and Evaluation of Environmental Risks
Executive Management, with the support of the Environmental Responsible, will identify and evaluate the Environmental Risks within the QEMS.
The evaluation of Environmental Risks will serve as the basis for implementing the Environmental Policy and planning the allocation of appropriate and adequate resources to manage identified Environmental Risks.
3.4. Environmental Policy Objectives
To fulfill these commitments and achieve the established objectives, Executive Management sets out the following fundamental principles:
- Acting in an environmentally respectful manner and ensuring its protection are key factors in our activity development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental legal requirements based on the nature of the activity and geographical location, as well as those voluntarily adopted by the organization.
- Minimize the environmental impacts resulting from our activities at our facilities.
- Bring the environmental management system closer to the whole organization to encourage active participation of all employees and include their improvement suggestions to foster continuous improvement.
- Prioritize preventive criteria over corrective ones in our operational principles.
- Maintain awareness and environmental consciousness among all our employees, promoting their environmental training.
- Integrate the environmental management system into Ambit BST’s overall management.
- Define specific and measurable goals and objectives within an environmental program, subject to review at least annually based on progress.
- Conduct an annual periodic evaluation of environmental aspects arising from our activity, for the purpose of maintaining and continuously improving the implemented environmental management system.
3.5. Operational Control
AMBIT BST will organize, review, and implement the necessary Policies and Procedures to meet Environmental Obligations and implement Actions to manage Environmental Risks.
Processes will be documented as Procedures by each of the involved areas.
Specifically, and in accordance with the principles of this policy and identified risks, the following requirements are established:
- Regarding the air conditioning system of our offices, the following requirements will be controlled in line with Royal Decree 178/2021 of March 23 (RITE):
IT 1.1.4.1.2 Operating Temperature and Relative Humidity.
1. The indoor design conditions for operating temperature and relative humidity will be set based on people's metabolic activity, clothing level, and the estimated percentage of dissatisfied persons (PPD), as follows:
2. a) For people with sedentary metabolic activity of 1.2 met, clothing level of 0.5 clo in summer and 1 clo in winter, and a PPD lower than 10%, the values of operating temperature and relative humidity—assuming a low air velocity (<0.1 m/s)—will fall within the limits indicated in Table 1.4.1.1.
Table 1.4.1.1 Indoor Design Conditions |

Season |
Operating Temperature (ºC) |
Relative Humidity (%) |
Summer |
23 to 25 |
45 to 60 |
Winter |
21 to 23 |
40 to 50 |
This means maintaining a proper and sustainable indoor temperature year-round (via thermostats in each room) and turning off the HVAC system in rooms when not in use.
- Regarding waste management:
- Monitor generated electronic waste and ensure its proper disposal.
- Ensure that office waste is properly separated according to bins provided by the building.
- Ensure that facilities comply with applicable maintenance, prevention, and safety requirements.
Periodic monitoring of these controls, together with those implemented to achieve the Environmental Objectives defined after the risk evaluation, will determine the degree of compliance with this Policy.
3.6. Review and Improvement
Executive Management and the Environmental Responsible will review the Organization’s Environmental Policy at reasonable intervals to ensure its continued suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness—at least once per year.
AMBIT BST is committed to continuous improvement, suitability, adequacy, and the ongoing pursuit of the effectiveness of this Policy.
