Digital Kit: What it is, how to apply for it, and how to make the most of it with us

The Kit Digital is an initiative of the Government of Spain whose purpose is to promote, through a subsidy program from European funds, the digital transformation of SMEs. Financial aid is distributed in three tranches, depending on the size of the applicant company. The investment must be aimed at acquiring new programs or services that involve the digitalization of the company.  

What is the digital kit?

It is a financial aid program to boost the digitalization of your company.

It is the source with which the Government of Spain will finance the digitalization projects of SMEs and freelancers through the granting of the so-called Digital Vouchers. These subsidies are intended to cover expenses related to the adoption of technological solutions distributed in up to 10 categories.

When it is verified that the applicant meets the established requirements, direct aid is granted.

Who can apply for the digital kit?

Freelancers and SMEs with up to 49 employees on staff who carry out their activity in any professional sector and have their tax domicile in Spain.

Up to three different business categories can be established, which will benefit from maximum amounts of their Digital Voucher:

• Up to 2,000 euros: companies with 1 or 2 employees.
• Up to 6,000 euros: companies with 3 to 9 employees.
• Up to 12,000 euros: companies between 10 and 49 employees.
• Up to 30,000 euros.

What are the requirements that must be met to apply for the digital kit?

1. Must not have exceeded the limit of de minimis aid set out in the SME Digitalization Plan 2021-2025.
2. Must be a small business, microbusiness, or freelancer where staff size does not exceed 49 employees.
3. Must, therefore, comply with the financial limits established by the Digital Kit regulations for each of these three business categories.
4. Must be up to date with obligations with the Administration (Social Security and Tax Agency).
5. Must not be considered a company in difficulty: must have a minimum age of six months and be registered as active in business activity.
6. Must not have incurred in any of the prohibitions established in Law 38/2003 (General Subsidies Law), article 13.2.
7. Must formalize registration on the Acelera Pyme website and take the self-diagnosis test, in order to know your current level of digital adoption.

How can I apply for the digital kit?

1. Register at Acelera pyme and take the self-diagnosis test to check your company's level of digitalization.
2. Consult the catalog of digital solutions of the Digital Kit.
3. Apply for the Digital Kit grant at the Red.es electronic office by completing the form.
4. Choose the solution or solutions that best suit your business.
5. Sign a Digital Solutions provision agreement with the Digitalizing Agents who will implement the solution.
